Kathy is the owner of Education4All, a business to support Crosby Scholars. She was a secondary education director in Rowan-Salisbury Schools from 2006 to 2013. After retirement, she was interim principle for Salisbury High School, North Rowan Middle School and Overton Elementary School and interim director of Exceptional Children and as an administrator at Koontz Elementary.
