Vickie T. McKinney is the current Vice Chair of the Rockingham County Board of Education.

Vickie is retired, Previously, she was the principal of Douglass Elementary School, the principal of Moss Street Elementary School, and Assistant Principal of and teacher at Holmes Middle School.

Vickie is from Eden, North Carolina and attended Morehead High School. She has a bachelors degree in school administration from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and a masters degree in school administration from Appalachian State University. She is married and has three children.
