William (Bill) Sharpe currently serves as a member of the Nash County Board of Education in District 5. He was first elected in 2012 and is serving his third term.

Bill previously worked as a production supervisor at Thermo Fisher Scientific, an operational supervisor at Honeywell Aerospace, the director of operations for Roanoke Schools, and as a senior industrial engineer at Libbey Inc.

Bill is originally from Syracuse, New York. He holds a bachelor's degree in industrial technology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and attended Syracuse University's School of Management. He lives in Rocky Mount.
