Claudius Morrisey is currently a member of the Duplin County Board of Education. He was elected in 2016 and is serving his second term.

Claudius has worked as a physical education teacher as well as a football, basketball, and baseball coach at B.F. Grady. He also has experience as an assistant principal at Wallace-Rose High School, Kenansville Elementary, and E.E. Smith. He served in the U.S. Army.

Claudius is from Sampson County, and currently lives in Warsaw with his wife, with whom he has 2 children. He graduated from Hargrove High School, then earned his degree in health and physical education from North Carolina A&T University and later his master's degree in administration.
