Dale holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Black Hills State University and a master's degree in business administration from East Carolina University. 

Dale works as a career development coordinator at Surry County Schools. He previously worked as a small business center director and business and industry specialist for Surry Community College. He served as a Reserve Command in the U.S. Air Force for three years.
