Carolyn M. Banks is currently the vice chair of the Scotland County Board of Education.

Carolyn is a retired teacher of over 30 years.

Carolyn lives in Scotland County with her husband, children and grandchildren. She earned her associate's degree in accounting from Richmond Community College Hamlet North Carolina, her bachelor's degree in business from the University of North Carolina, Pembroke, her master's degree in technology teacher education from North Carolina A&T State University, and her doctorate degree in educational leadership and administration from Capella University. Carolyn is the director of Partners In Ministry 21st Century After-school STEM program, and has served as president of NC Technology Education Teachers Association as well as on the NCTEA Professional Development committee and as a presenter for NCDPI and ITEEA.
