Steve is married to Bridget, and together they have three daughters, Emily, Kenna, and Hannah. He attended Penn State.

Steve Johnson is a former teacher and assistant director of technology at Moore County Schools, where he began his career in 1998. He has taught kindergarten, 2nd grade, and worked in the computer lab at Vass-Lakeview Elementary. He later became a digital integration facilitator and assistant director of technology for the district. During his tenure, he was involved in implementing 1-to-1 laptops, robotics, coding, and STEM programs across Moore County Schools.

Steve Johnson is originally from a military family, with his father being a Navy pilot, and he spent his childhood moving across various coastal locations in the United States. He attended Penn State University, where he entered as a computer engineering student in the fall of 1994. Steve is married to Bridget, whom he met while teaching, and together they have three daughters, Emily, Kenna, and Hannah. The family currently resides in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
