Supports providing educational opportunities that best suit students, including private, charter, home, and public schools. As Lieutenant Governor, secured over $11 million for apprenticeship programs.

The candidate's website says, "During COVID, Sen. Deanna Ballard led the charge to reopen public schools, recognizing the disaster that awaited the state and country from the awful decision to keep kids away from the classroom. She went toe-to-toe with Gov. Roy Cooper, former Dept. of Health and Human Services Secretary Mandy Cohen, and the teachers’ union, forcing their hand by passing landmark legislation ordering the schools reopened."

Supports improving education by empowering parents and students through school choice, vouchers, charter schools, and private schools.

Jeffrey Reid Beck was born in Morganton, NC, and grew up in Glen Alpine. He is married to Michelle, and they have two sons, Trevor and Luke. He is a member of Pinnacle Church in Canton.

Jeffrey Reid Beck is the President/Owner of The Ninevah Productions, a company that publishes and distributes the Blue Ridge Christian News. He has experience in sales and sales management in the new vehicle automobile business, and has managed 13 stores as a district manager for a nationwide automotive parts chain. Previously, he served in the US Army.

Jeffrey Reid Beck served as Chairman of the Burke County Republican Party from 2021 to 2023. He has made many contacts that he believes will help him be a successful County Commissioner. It is not specified whether he has held other political offices or if he has been appointed to any committees.
