Jimmy is from Pine Creek, NC and currently lives in Sparta with his wife, Tracy. He attended Alleghany High School, then studied studied social sciences at Appalachian State University and agriculture at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

Jimmy is currently a shipping manager at Wishon Evergreens. Previously, he was a teacher at Alleghany County Schools.
