Anne is from western South Dakota. She hold's a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a master's degree in ecology from Colorado State University. She resides in Helena, Montana with her husband, and their children. She was previously on the Helena Public Montessori Parents Board, served as Treasurer and President on the Board of Cohesion Dance Project, and served as Treasurer of the Last Chance Nordic Ski Club.

Anne has experience working in environmental consulting with an emphasis on human health and ecological risk assessment. She previously served as a business owner, a Bills Coordinator and Committee Clerk for the Montana House of Representatives, and a staff scientist.
