Jane holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Pacific Lutheran University, a doctorate degree in dental surgery from the University of Washington, and a master's degree in public health from the University of Montana. 

Jane is a U.S. Military veteran, previously serving in the Air Force. She has experience working as a dental director with Community Health Partners, a director with Sprout Oral Health, and owning Mint Dental Studio. She is also an entrepreneur, and scientist. 

Jane Gillette is a member of the Montana House of Representatives for District 64. She was elected to this position in 2021, and is currently serving her second term.

- Your State Representative participates in the legislative process at the state level. They are one of 100 members of the Montana House of Representatives. The Montana House of Representatives is the lower house of the Montana State Legislature (the state's lawmaking body).
- Your State Representative drafts laws, approves budgets, has oversight of the state executive branch, and debates and votes on proposed laws.
- In addition to drafting and voting on bills, your State Representative can serve on committees. This is important because many bills can be stalled in committee, preventing them making it to a vote.
