Chris and his wife have lived in Bozeman, Montana for over 30 years. They have 2 adult children. He received his bachelor's degree in Spanish literature from the University of Oregon and a master's degree from the Yale University School of Management.

Chris has pursued a career in commercial real estate, holding a license at the Bozeman-based NAI Landmark commercial real estate firm and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
