Perri is originally from Hardin. She earned her bachelor's degree in animal science and agriculture education from the University of Nebraska and her master's degree in public administration from the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs.

Perri works as the secretary and treasurer for Jacobs Ranch Inc. She previously worked as a managing partner at Lackman Family LLC and as a bureau chief at the Montana Department of Agriculture. Jacobs and her husband own and operate a cattle ranch together.
