Mike earned a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Montana Tech and also has a master's degree in business administration. Mike and his wife have four children. Mike served as a president and board member of the Billings Homebuilders' Association and is the 2nd Vice President of the Montana Builders Industry Association.

Mike is the founder and owner of Vinton Construction. He has previously worked in the engineering field.
