Paul graduated from the University of Montana. He is widowed and has two children. Paul is a member of the Montana Board of Regents of Higher Education, the ALS Association Evergreen Chapter, the Montana Cooperative Development Center, the Montana Economic Development Advisory Council, and a Trustee of the Northern Montana Hospital. 

Paul is the Executive Director of the Bear Paw Development Corporation. 

Paul Tuss currently serves in the State House, representing District 28. He was first elected in 2022 and is seeking a second term. He also ran for the State House seat representing District 14 in 2018 but did not win.
