James Comer currently represents Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District in Congress. He was first elected in 2016 and is serving his fourth term. He currently serves as Chairman of the House Oversight Committee. He previously served six terms in the Kentucky House of Representatives and was elected as Kentucky’s Commissioner of Agriculture in 2011.

Economy

Supports balancing the federal budget, rebuilding infrastructure, and implementing "business-friendly" policies.

As Agriculture Commissioner, promoted rural economic development by helping legalize industrial hemp in Kentucky and developing new branding initiatives for Kentucky farmers.
