He earned his Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University's Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2012.

Steven Doan served as General Counsel for the Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy and has represented law enforcement in Federal Court. He is a former Erlanger City Council Member and was elected to the general assembly in 2022.

Steven Doan was elected to the general assembly in 2022 and has served on the Judiciary, Education, and Local Government standing committees. He is running for re-election as State Representative. He previously served as an Erlanger City Council Member.
