Daniel is a farmer. He has previously worked as a general contractor and property manager. He has also served as a deputy to the Fayette County Jailer, as well as a deputy and assistant bookkeeper to the Fayette County Clerk.

Daniel Fister currently serves as Kentucky State Representative for State House District 56. He was first elected in 2020 and is serving his second term. Daniel is vice chair of the House Agricultural Committee.
