Amy Green lives in Fayette County and has two children attending Fayette County Public Schools. She graduated as valedictorian from her high school in Shelby County and earned dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Kentucky. She is currently studying for a PhD in Leadership Studies at the University of the Cumberlands.

Amy Green is a current FCPS School Board Member and Vice-Chair. She previously worked at the University of Kentucky as a faculty instructor for the Mathematics Department and taught at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School.

Amy Green has served as a member of the Fayette County Board of Education and is the current Vice-Chair. She was elected to the elementary SBDM (Site Based Decision Making) Council from 2017 to 2020 and has been re-elected for four consecutive terms as a parent representative.
