Steven is a long-time resident of Camden County. He is a graduate of Camden County High School and went on to earn a bachelor of arts in public administration from Valdosta State University, followed by a master of business administration from Georgia Tech. 

Steven is the Managing Principal of Camden Connection, a community development corporation. He previously worked as a deputy sheriff for the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, where he taught the C.H.A.M.P.S. curriculum to students. He has also been involved in securing funding for community projects.

Sainz is the current Representative for GA State House district. 180. He was elected in 2018 and has been in office for three terms.
