Osborn Murray III's campaign for state senator is his first entry into politics.

Osborn is currently the Executive Director for the Calalus Group, a government relations firm focused on veteran housing and business empowerment. He previously worked as Chief of Staff in the Georgia State House, Treasurer at American Legion Post 9-1-1, and Executive Director of Military Affairs at Helios Digital Forensics. He is a retired veteran.

Osborn has a master's degree in Cyber Security from Sans Cyber Security Institute, an associate's degree in counterterrorism from Cochise College, and a bachelor's degree in computer information from Edward Water University. He volunteers for the Wounded Warrior Project, the US Army Suicide Prevention Program, and the Department of Homeland Security Critical Infrastructure Cyber Community Program.
