De'ron was born in Macon, and has lived in Florida and Montana. After graduating high school, she attended York Christian College. She is a wife, mother and grandmother.

De'ron previously worked in the personal loan department of the 1st National Bank of Wichita while simultaneously launching The Wedding Connection, her own business. When she moved back to Georgia, she engaged in youth ministry with her husband and founded Atlantic Coast Images, a screen printing and embroidery company. She also founded Pinky's Shaved Ice.
