Chalton Askew's campaign for mayor is his first run for public office.

Chalton currently works as the Executive Director of Trustbuilding Inc. He previously worked as a merchandise manager at JCPenny and a senior cost accountant at Interface.

Chalton is originally from LaGrange. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from LaGrange College. Askew lives in LaGrange with his wife, Connie. He is the pastor of the Church of the King in LaGrange.
