Robby graduated from Greene/Taliaferro High School, and attended the Northeast Georgia Police Academy. He is a resident of Greene County, where he raises his sons with his wife.

Professional background

Robby began his law enforcement career in 1994 as a dispatcher. In 1995, he became a patrolman at the Union Point Police Department. Two years later, he joined the Greene County Sheriff's Office, where he has served in various roles including jail duty, court services, road patrol, and as a K-9 deputy.

Political background

Robby McCannon's campaign for county sheriff is his first entry into politics.
