Robbie Whitfield's campaign for county sheriff is his first entry into politics.

Robbie is the training officer at the Polk County Sherif'fs Office. He has also been a member of the Rome/Floyd Swat Team for nearly 20 years, acting as team leader for the last 5 years. He has previously worked in various law enforcement roles, including Correctional and Jail Officer, Deputy Sheriff, Training Officer, Fugitive Investigator, Fugitive Task Force Commander, Warrant Supervisor, Drug Task Force Officer, and Warrant Captain.

Robbie graduated from Shorter College. Him and his wife have one son together, and he also has a step daughter and another grown son. He is a member of the National Rifle Association, the Second Amendment Foundation, the Fraternal Order of Police, the Georgia Sheriff’s Association, and the Georgia Tactical Officers Association.
