Ambrose earned his associate's degree in sociology from Atlanta Metropolitan College, his bachelor's degree in religion from Morehouse College, and his master's degree in theological studies, specifically Christian education, from the Interdenominational Theological Center. Ambrose is currently earning his teaching certification from the University of West Florida. He is Christian.

Ambrose works as an educator teaching math adn science at a metro Atlanta high school. He previously worked as an executive assistant office manager for the City of Atlanta Department of Public Works at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
