Domonique is a wife and mother to three sons. She earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Criminology and Social Deviance from Notre Dame of Maryland University, a Master of Science in Human Services, Social and Community Services from Capella University, and and Education Certificate for Harvard University's School Leaders of Color Organizational Development Collaborative. 

Before taking a break to campaign for Board of Education, Domonique worked as a freelance education consultant. She is also the founder and owner of Peace Gwinnett, an organization aimed at community engagement. Previously, she worked as a substitute teacher for Gwinnett County Public Schools, a Social Impact Officer for Laundry Lyfe, co-owner of Fancy Funnel Cake, the Executive director for YO Gwinnett Inc, and service representative for the Social Security Administration.
