Barry Slaton currently serves as a Member of the County Board of Education. He was appointed to this position in 2021 and is serving his first term.

Barry is a realtor for Kelly Williams Realty and is a part owner of the Silver City Group which specializes in contracts and closings. He previously owned a company that worked in disaster relief in Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

Barry received a bachelor's degree in business from Piedmont University and a master's degree in management information systems from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business. He is married with 3 children and is a member of Silver City Baptist Church.
