Jayne  lives in Dade County with her husband and family. She earned master's and doctorate degrees in educational administration and leadership and has served on several executive boards. She teaches an adult Sunday School class and serves in a volunteer leadership role at Trenton Methodist Church.

Jayne served as an educator for 45 years. She spent 20 years as a classroom teacher and the 25 years in educational administration at an executive level.
