HARRIS COUNTY: District 4 Commissioners Race, meet Jim Kelly

James Edward Kelly (Harris County Commissioner Board District 4, Georgia, candidate 2024)

James resides in Harris County. He is a father with seven children. 13 grandchildren, and six greatgrandchildren. 

James is a U.S. military veteran, and taught ROTC following his military service. He also worked in security with Newark Corporation, Homeland Security, and FEMA.

This is James Edward Kelly's first entry into politics. 

Believes commissioner and citizen communication should be improved, saying "I’ve been here 30 years and I’ve never had anybody come ask me what I thought about this issue..."

Wants to create a 24-hour hotline for voters, aiming to enhance communication between commissioners and residents.

Wants to get together and speak with district residents, receiving their input and viewpoints on county issues.
