Bob was born in Augusta, Georgia, and is married to his wife Nadine, with whom they have children together. Bob is an active member of the local American Legion, the Board of Education, the Chamber of Commerce/Alliance for Dade, and the Inspire Weekend Youth Development program.

Bob is a retired United States Army Veteran. His work included working as Army Air and Missile Defense Command.

Bob was born in Augusta, Georgia, and is married to Nadine McMahan, who was raised in Raising Fawn. Bob and Nadine currently run the General Woods Inn. Their children attended the Dade County school system, with one of their children currently enrolled in Dade Elementary School. Bob is an active member of the local American Legion, the Board of Education, the Chamber of Commerce/Alliance for Dade, and the Inspire Weekend Youth Development program.

Bob served in the United States Army for over 30 years. While in the Army, Bob completed the U.S. Air War College, received the Distinguished Service Medal, and served as Commanding General of the 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command.
