Logan has lived in McDuffie County for his entire life. After high school, he attended Augusta Technical College, then the CSRA Law Enforcement Academy. In 2009, Logan became the first Black president of the Georgia Sheriff's Association.
Professional background
Logan began his career in law enforcement as a police officer for the Thomson Police Department in 1971. He then worked as an investigator and later chief deputy in the McDuffie County Sheriff's Office.

Logan Marshall is currently the McDuffie County sheriff. He was elected in 1992 and is serving his eighth term.
