Pickens County Georgia: Current Commissioners

Kristopher is a lifelong resident of Pickens County. He is a graduate of Pickens High School and Valdosta State University. He is also a graduate of the Certified Public Manager program of the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia. He is married with two adult children and they are involved at Revolution Church Jasper.

Kristopher had a career in law enforcement that spanned over 18 years with the Valdosta Police Department, the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles, and the Pickens Sheriff’s Office. 

Kristopher John Stancil is the County Commission Chair in Pickens County. He was elected in 2020 and has served one term in this position. He also served as the Executive Director of the Pickens County Chamber of Commerce.
