Brett Thomas currently serves as City Council Member in City of Watkinsville. He was first elected in 2021 and is serving his first term.

Brett currently works as a project manager for Chateau Energy Solutions. He previously worked as a lineman for Georgia Power Company. He served in the Georgia Army National Guard for 24 years.

Brett is from Watkinsville and attended Oconee County High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from North Georgia College and State University. He volunteers with the Georgia National Guard Board of Directors and Bigger Vision Community Shelter. He and his wife, Catherine, have 2 children.
