Rene Lopez

Rene Lopez is a third-generation Arizonan who was born and raised in Mesa and currently lives in Chandler with his wife, Jessica, and their two children, Brianna and Andrew. He graduated from Dobson High School, attended Maricopa Community College, and earned a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Arizona. Information about the church he attends is not provided.

Rene Lopez is a former Cryptologic Officer in the U.S. Navy and served aboard submarines. After his military service, he was elected to the Chandler City Council in 2014 and re-elected in 2018, during which he also served as Vice Mayor. He co-founded CeCe’s Hope Center, a non-profit organization, where he serves as Chairman.

Rene Lopez served on the Chandler City Council, first elected in 2014 and re-elected in 2018. During his tenure, he also served as Vice Mayor of Chandler. He has been involved with the Republican Party, holding positions such as Legislative District Chairman and Second Vice Chair of the Executive Guidance Committee.

Believes "talk is cheap" and plans to fight for lower utility rates for Arizona's ratepayers. As a Chandler City Council member, worked tirelessly for the community.
