Hilda Ortega-Rosales is currently School Board Member in Pendergast Elementary School District in Tolleson Union. She was elected in 2001 and is serving her sixth term. She was elected president of the School Board in 2023.

Hilda is retired. She previously worked as the grants and federal programs director and human resource director in Union High School District, as a service delivery director at American Express, and as a manager for US West Communications.

Hilda is originally from Phoenix, Arizona. She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and her master’s degree in public administration from Arizona State University. She lives in Glendale with her husband Ray, and they have 3 children.
