He previously served as a member of the Gilbert Town Council. Eddie was elected to that position in 2011 and served for 3 terms. He was named to vice-mayor while serving as a councilmember. He served as the president of the Arizona Municipal Water Users Association and chairman of the Maricopa Association of Government Domestic Violence Council.
