ChrisTiana ObeySumner's campaign for city council is their first entry into politics.

ChrisTiana is the chief executive officer and principal social equity consultant at Epiphanies of Equity: Education and Consulting and the DEI and disability justice consultant at Diversity City, LLC. They are the founder and executive director of the Eleanor Elizabeth Institute for Black Empowerment. They used to be a campaign manager for Sherae for state house of representatives.

ChrisTiana is originally from Alaska. They have an associate's degree in journalism and geology from Jefferson Community College, Kentucky, a bachelor's degree in psychology, a master's degree in non-profit, public and organizational management, a master's degree in community mental health and intercultural/multicultural and diversity studies, and a master's degree in public administration from Seattle University.
