Hanan is originally from Oklahoma, and she was raised in Benghazi, Libya. She has lived in Auburn for 15 years. She has a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Benghazi University, and graduated of the Auburn Police Citizen's Academy and the FBI Citizens Academy. She lives with her husband and two children.
