Walter G. Michael used to be a county supervisor on the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors. He was first elected in 2003 and was in office for four terms. He was chair of the board. He previously ran for county supervisor in 2019 but was not reelected.

Walter used to be a manager for AH Robbins and Conrail and Norfolk Southern Railroads.

Walter has lived in Botetourt County for more than 20 years. He has a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Mount Union University and a master's degree in business from the University of Richmond.
