Luke is from Roanoke. He attended Hidden Valley High School. He has a bachelor's degree in American government and politics from the University of Virginia. He lives with his husband, Geolina, in Old Southwest in Roanoke.

Luke is chief of staff for Virginia senator John S. Edwards. He used to be a paralegal at law firm Glenn Robinson Cathey Memmer & Scaff PLC, a political coordinator at NCC Media, and a grants policy analyst for the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Luke Priddy is currently a city councilmember for Roanoke. He was first elected in 2023 and has been in office for less than one year. His term expires in December of 2024. He is chair of the legislative committee.
