Rip is from Northern Virginia. He has a bachelor's degree from Amherst College and a law degree from the University of Virginia. He lives with his wife, Beth. He has four grandchildren.

Rip is a lawyer. He is a partner at law firm Bean Kinney & Korman, PC.

Rip Sullivan is currently the state delegate representing district 48. He was first elected in 2014 and has been in office for four terms.
