Idris O'Connor is currently vice chair of the Prince William County Social Service Advisory Board. He previously ran for state representative, but did not win.

Idris is the chair of the Cooperative Council Ministries. He previously worked as a voter registrar at the League of Conservation Voters and as a field organizer at CASA. He was also an intern for the United States Senate. He has experience as a managing editor and reporter for the Above the Fold Newspaper.

Idris graduated from Prince William Public Schools. He is currently working on a bachelor's degree in government and international relations at George Mason University. He is active in in his local church.
