Kristen C. Umstattd is currently a county supervisor representing the Leesburg District. She was first elected in 2015 and has been in office for two terms. She used to be mayor of Leesburg from 2002 to 2016.

Kristen is an attorney. She works at law firm Umstattd and Moss, where she has been since 1987. She used to be a lieutenant in the US.. Naval Reserve and a Soviet naval analyst for the Central Intelligence Agency.

Kristen is originally from Pennsylvania. She has a bachelor's degree in Russian and East European studies from Yale University and a law degree from Yale. She lives with her husband, Charles, in Leesburg.
