Shantell E. Rock’s campaign for school board member is her first entry into politics.

She is a paralegal. She works at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, where she has been for over a year. She was in the U.S. Army.

Shantell is originally from Livingston, Louisiana. She attended Potomac High School. She has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Strayer University and a Master’s degree in Paralegal Studies from George Washington University. She lives with her husband and their two adopted and three foster children in Woodbridge. They have three adult children.
