Harris Mahedavi is currently a member and vice-chair of the Loudoun County Public School Board representing the Ashburn District. He was elected in 2019 and has served one term. He chairs the Student Services Committee, Audit Committee and serves on the Communications & Outreach Committee, Student Behavior and Accountability Committee and the Finance & Operations Committee. He also serves as the liaison to the Minority Student Achievement Advisory Committee (MSAAC).

Harris Mahedavi is the president of Harris Grant Consulting, where he has worked for 14 years. Previously, he worked at NSGI Inc, Accenture, Deloitte Consulting, and the Vanguard Group.

Harris Mahedavi has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Drexel University. He volunteers with Loudoun Soccer, the Cub Scouts, the Boy Scouts, and Loudoun County Family Services. He lives with his wife and two children in Belmont Greene, Ashburn.
