Roy J. Baldwin's campaign for city council member is his first entry into politics. He ran a campaign for the same position in 2020 but did not win.

Roy is a member of the American Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, and the Family Law Section of the Fairfax Bar Association since 1976. He is admitted to practice law in Virginia State and Federal courts. He has held numerous positions in the Fairfax Bar Association, has served as a moot court judge for his alma mater, The George Washington University School of Law.

Roy has held several positions with the Town of Vienna, most recently as a member of the Town Board of Architectural Review.

Roy was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University School of Law in Washington, D.C. He has lived in Virginia since 1975. He is married and his son, Nathaniel, is an associate of the firm.

Roy is a member of the Church of the Holy Comforter in Vienna.
