Leslie Kae Hamada is currently a director for the Kent School Board. She was first elected in 2019 and has been in office for one term.

Leslie is retired. She used to work in corporate communications for 32 years. She founded KentHOPE, a day center for homeless women and children and the Kent East Hill Boxing Club.

Leslie attended Sunnyside High School and Eastern Washington College. She has a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in music and a bachelor's degree in communications with a focus on TV media from Evergreen State College. She has a husband, children, and grandchildren.
