Ora B. Douglass's campaign for city council member of Peachtree Corners is her first entry into politics.

Ora is a healthcare administrator. She has worked at a number of hospitals in Georgia, including Emory University, Grady Hospital, Northside Hospital, and local Veterans Administration sites for over 30 years. She also served in the US Army Nurse Corps for 13 years.

Ora is from Fort Pierce, Florida. She has a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Florida A&M University. She also has a master of nursing degree from Emory University. She is a mother of four children and currently lives in Peachtree Corners with her husband. She is a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Duluth.
