Samantha is originally from Chicago, Illinois. She has lived in Fairburn for 15 years. She has an associate's degree and a bachelor's degree in social work from Northeastern Illinois University. She has four children and five grandchildren.

Samantha is the chief executive officer and founder of The Vision Center of Hope, Inc. She has been a social worker.

Samantha Hudson previously ran for mayor of Fairburn in 2021 but did not win.
